Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, several places, particularly in Luzon, were put under enhanced community quarantine forcing people including celebrities, entrepreneurs, and workers to stay at home.
While others hated the idea of being at home for a long period of time, some took the quarantine as an opportunity to bond with family and relatives, enhance their skills, explore new things, practice a healthy lifestyle, and even spend quality time with their pets.
Speaking of pets, some local celebrities shared how their pets have helped them de-stress as that they experienced anxiety and stress amid the Luzon-wide lockdown.
Descendants of the Sun‘ star Rocco Nacino admitted becoming anxious for his business as well as for his employees due to the ongoing crisis in the country.
Aside from the constant support he’s receiving from his family and girlfriend Melissa Gohing, the 33-year-old artist revealed that his pet dogs—Valentine, Arrow, and Cloud—have helped him relieve stress.
He said, “I think having a dog kung may playmate ka na aso, ito ‘yung perfect time na makapag-bond kasama sila.
“Iba ‘yung nabibigay nilang aura, e. Nakakalma kumbaga. Lalo na sa akin kapag bagong gising ako tapos sila una bumabati sa ‘kin.
“Malaking bagay na it brings a smile to your face pagkagising mo,” he further stated.

Sharing my OOTD with my corgis, since I realized during this ECQ that I haven't really spent enough time with them when I was busy with tapings and shoots. No wonder they've become extra clingy recently and enjoying my company with all my time at home now. Thank you for always making me smile pups! @corgivalentineandarrow #QuarantineMoments #StayAtHome #LeeJeansPh #Lee

“It’s so cute. Nakaka-lighten lang ng mood,” she added.
Pets are also the source of joy of ‘My Special Tatay’ lead star Ken Chan who owns not just dogs and cats, as he recently introduced the newest addition to his pet family which is an African Grey Parrot named Pasha.
