The shutdown of ABS-CBN resulted in thousands of jobless employees amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Some ABS-CBN artists took to social media to express how brokenhearted they were due to the disapproval of the network’s franchise.

Kim also believed that ABS-CBN doesn’t have any violations and the network even promised to improve but still, Congress denied the franchise.

For the final hearing, Congress was ordered to vote either “Yes” to the ABS-CBN franchise renewal denial or a “No”. They voted 70 “YES”, 11 “No”, two were inhibited, and 1 abstained.
