Comedian John “Sweet” Lapus backed up his friend Pokwang who was panicky because of the late uploaded YouTube vlog of Baninay Bautista.
On Tuesday, Baninay posted a YouTube vlog entitled “I TESTED POSITIVE”, which related her experience as she recently tested positive with COVID-19.
In the said vlog, Baninay related how hard her situation is. She said that when she learned about her result, she cried and became worried about her health.
Though she is only experiencing mild symptoms, she admitted that being a COVID-19 positive affected her mental health.
In the latter part of the video, she mentioned that they would be fetched and transferred to the quarantine facilities by their Barangay unit.
Apparently, she had already recovered from the said virus by the time she posted her vlog but, her ‘clickbait’ title caused panic especially to Pokwang.
Pokwang panicked because of the vlog as she recently had close contact with Baninay. This was because Baninay had not made it clear that she was already COVID-free at the time of the upload.
With this, John Lapus justified Pokwang’s anger and slammed Baninay for her misleading title.

John suggested Baninay to at least state that the vlog was uploaded late to avoid causing panic to her recent contacts.
Sweet and Pokwang are very close friends. When they both guested in a Magandang Buhay episode, Sweet related how generous and kind Pokwang is as a friend. Also, Pokwang shared how they both stand beside each other during difficult and trying times.
Meanwhile, the party of Baninay already clarified the issue saying that the video was filmed last July 21, and the vlogger already tested negative on August 7. They also apologized and said that they did not mean to scare or create panic to the public.
