TV5 is going to launch 8 new shows on August 15.
Maine Mendoza has a new show on the network which got her fans and supporters curious. Many also became excited because Eat Bulaga’s JoWaPAo team (Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros) also have shows on the Kapatid network.
But it looks like Pambansang Bae Alden Richards will not be having shows on TV5 network as the actor still has an exclusive contract with GMA Network.
The other shows that are expected to air on the network are Chika Besh which is a morning show hosted by Pokwang, Pauleen Luna, and Riya Ataye, Idol in Action hosted by Raffy Tulfo, Fill in the Bank hosted by Pokwang and Jose Manalo, Bawal na Game Show hosted Paolo Ballesteros and Wally Bayola, Bangon Talentadong Pinoy hosted by Ryan Agoncillo, Usapang Real Life hosted by Luchi Cruz Valdes and Fit for Life hosted by Jessy Mendiola.
As TV5 secured a deal partnership with Cignal TV, Galang said they are making an effort to provide more lifestyle and entertainment content for viewers. He said that “significant investments on creating more shows that [they] can utilize across multiple platforms” are being made to be able to provide producers an opportunity to enter their programs on the network in a block-timer capacity.
“We aim to redefine the entertainment scene by offering top-notch shows and talents that can greatly boost TV5’s re-programming goals which have been an ongoing plan since late 2019, and now bolstered by Cignal TV’s other digital asset,” Galang added.
Maine Mendoza’s manager, Tony Tuviera, is the producer of some of TV5’s new shows like Chika Besh, Fill in the Bank, and Bawal na Game Show.
Maine recently apologized to her fans as they were able to see her not-so-clean house while reporting for show Eat Bulaga. She was working from home once again as Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) is being implemented in some parts of the country.

Maine Mendoza is best known for her viral Dubsmash videos and her role as Yaya Dub in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! segment “Kalyeserye. She starred in the 2015 film My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival. She was the lead actress in the 2016 film Imagine You & Me, where she also wrote and sang its theme song.
Mendoza has a passion for writing, having been a blogger even before she entered show business. In October 2017, she released her first autobiographical book entitled Yup, I Am That Girl., which is an unfiltered version of her personal blog Pessimistic Optimist Bella.
In 2017, Mendoza and Richards starred in their first prime time television series Destined to be Yours where Mendoza played the role of Sinag Obispo, a radio DJ and the love interest of Benjie Rosales who is an architect played by Richards.
She is now in a relationship with Arjo Atayde. Arjo and Maine have been keeping a low profile as a couple because some of the fans of Maine do not support her relationship with Arjo. The couple marked their first anniversary last December.
