With the closure of ABS-CBN, some of its shows are now expected to be transferred to TV5 Network.

According to an article by Jun Lalin, the comedy gag show Banana Sundae is set to be moved to the Kapatid network.

Rumors said that TV5 blocktime producer Albee Benitez already had a deal with director Edgar Mortiz about this project.

Banana Sundae first aired on October 11, 2008. Its cast includes John Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Pooh, and Pokwang.

However, Angelica will not be joining her former colleagues on the new TV5 show.

She has a new project under Star Cinema, Walang Hanggang Paalam, along with Paulo Avelino. ABS-CBN is set to release this on the Kapamilya Channel, and online via Kapamilya Online Live but there has been no release date yet.

Aside from Angelica, a yet unnamed Banana Sundae star will not be able to join the cast too due to a Kapamilya project as well.

Direk Bobot Mortiz revealed that the new show will be titled Sunday Kada’ Kada Sunday on TV5. The exact airing date hasn’t been announced yet but Direk Bobot said that they already started the taping.

A TV5 insider said that the gag show’s regular taping will be held in the Novaliches studio.

The pilot episode of the show was also made special because Boracay was chosen as their taping location.

“Wala pa, eh. Pero end of October daw kami. First taping pa lang kami ngayon dito sa Boracay. Yes, pwede na (nai-quote),” Direk Bobot said.

Meanwhile, the sitcom Home Sweetie Home will also be transferred to TV5 and will also be headed by Direk Bobot.
