Kim Chiu will remain a Kapamilya artist despite the shutdown order imposed on ABS-CBN.
At the finale media conference for ‘Love Thy Woman’ on September 2, Kim said she will stay with ABS-CBN for now. The actress also teased about her upcoming project with real-life boyfriend Xian Lim.
“Sa ngayon, nasa Kapamilya network pa naman ako with ‘Love Thy Woman’. May ibinigay sa aking project that, of course, I am very happy to do it sa Kapamilya network pa rin. Still, (I’m a) Kapamilya,” she said.
As ABS-CBN stopped most of it shows and businesses, Star Magic’s Johnny Manahan recently announced that he is allowing his talents to work with the Kapuso network (GMA) or TV5.
Kim reacted to this by saying ,“Siyempre, iba-iba naman ‘yung mga perspective namin.”
Kim added that she understands Mr. M’s decision. She is also grateful for ABS-CBN for giving her work projects amid the situation it faces.
“Si Mr. M, binibigyan lang din kami ng chance kasi ‘yung iba wala namang work. On my side, sobrang lucky ako that ABS still [gives] me projects para manatili sa Kapamilya network,” she explained.
Without giving many details about her next project, the actress said it will be their surprise for the avid fans of their tandem.
“Madami pa naman. Meron kaming… may niluluto sila for us and it’s gonna be exciting. Kami din, excited na rin kami ni Xian. Malapit na rin kaming magsimula so it’s a surprise to all our solid supporters,” she disclosed.
Love Thy Woman is down to its last weeks. It can be watched from Mondays to Fridays, 2:30 p.m. on Kapamilya Online Live, on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, and on cable and satellite TV via the Kapamilya Channel.
