‘Pinagkikitaan ang revelations?’ BB Gandanghari defends subscription fee for her YouTube channel

Gandanghari also brushed off possible questions about her making money out of her story.

BB Gandanghari seemed unfazed by all the criticisms about her recent revelations on her YouTube channel.

BB had claimed that her former self as Rustom Padilla had a romantic encounter with Piolo Pascual. Many saw her move as a ploy to get more subscribers while others criticized her for revealing personal details about another person.

BB is again expected to attract new criticisms after deciding to push through with the subscription program of her YouTube channel.

In an article by Gorgy Rula in Philstar, BB stood by her decision to monetize her storytelling saying it will somehow protect the integrity of her story.

According to BB, she made the decision to push through with the BB Uncut channel subscription fee to  drive away trolls and bashers from using her story against her which was what happened after her controversial tell-all.

“Sadly, apektado dito ‘yung mga taong medyo hindi makaka-afford pero I just wanna have peace of mind when I say my story na walang trolls na makakapasok na lahat na nakakapanood ay verified na emails and users and I take it from there.

“Iyon lang naman yung akin na iniingatan ko talaga ‘yung integredad ng story ko,” she said.

“It’s not really easy na ang dami mong naririnig na reaksyon na hindi naman nanood,” she added.

Meanwhile, Gandanghari also brushed off possible questions about her making money out of her story.

“Life is a bitch. Inggit lang ang pinanggalingan niyan. YouTube is a platform. Natural, you have to be creative. Creator ka. You have to create. You really need to create, and I’m creating a book.

“So, ang daming tumitira eh libre nga dapat yan eh. Kaso, naapektuhan na ako. Eh may mga taong gustong makinig at ready-ing magbayad, eh di dun na ako. Gawin natin to. Hindi naman ito pangmatagalan ano, pero I just need to get my integrity.”

BB also added that she don’t care about what people said because it’s a decent earning and “we live in a very commercial world” so you need to sell your art to live.

“Sinabi ko noon kay Mitch Dulce na naalala ko na tinanong niya. Naku-confuse daw siya kapag artist ka binabayaran ka. Sabi ko, sadly we live in a very commercial world. And in this world even your art, you have to sell to live. Yun ang katotohanan, not to be hypocritical about anything, but come on we are all in this platform without even referring to the membership. But come on don’t give me this bull ‘s!

“If you use that to bash me, bring it on! Kasi wala akong dapat ikahiya sa ginawa ko. Because I’m earning a decent living and I have a very supportive supporters who support me all the way and encourage me of what I do? Can I not be grateful?”
