GMA News TV is set to return its regular line-up of programming which includes its top-notch news and current affairs programs.

On Monday, September 21, GMA News TV’s is set to bring back its most popular news programs “Balitanghali”, “Quick Response Team (QRT)”, “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho (SONA)”, and “Stand for Truth.”

GMA’s flagship primetime newscast “24 Oras” anchored by Mel Tiangco, Mike Enriquez, and Vicky Morales will also continue to be simulcast on GMA News TV from Monday to Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Favorite lifestyle shows “Taste Buddies”, “Turbo Zone, “I Juander”, “Idol sa Kusina”, and “Glow Up” will also make a comeback with fresh episodes on September 21.

Recently launched shows “New Normal: The Survival Guide”, “Newsmakers” by Winne Monsod, “Bright Side” by Kara David, “Pera Peraan” by Susan Enriquez, Tonipet Gaba and Rovilson Fernandez’s “Home Work” and Drew Arellano’s “Family Time” will also continue to air on GMA News TV.

GMA News TV’s late-night power documentary shows “Front Row”, “Alisto”, “Tunay na Buhay”, “Reporter’s Notebook”, and “I-Witness” are also set to bring-in new in-depth documentaries to our television screens.

However, while most of the regular GMANTV programs will be coming back on TV, some shows were canceled.

According to a Rappler report on September 9, at least 10 news and current affairs shows on GMA News TV were canceled due to the effects of the pandemic which caused GMA News TV to scale down the production of its programs since the community quarantine period started.

One of the programs axed by GMA News TV management was Arnold Clavio’s late-night talk show ‘Tonight with Arnold Clavio’.

Clavio’s talk show started on the former QTV in April 2010 and was relaunched with GMA News TV in February 2011.

For more than 10 years the show was given several awards which include  Best Talk Show from Catholic Mass Media Awards in 2012 and Outstanding Celebrity Talk Program Host for Arnold at the 8th Enpress Golden Screen TV Awards in 2011.

Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem to be a good year for Arnold because prior to the cancellation of TWAC he was involved in the recent controversial revelation of Sarah Balabagan who said that he is the father of her eldest daughter.

In a Facebook live on August 21, Balabagan disclosed that it was Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio who got her pregnant with her first child.

Although it was more than decades ago, Sarah said someone has brought it up recently and she just wanted to set the record straight to end all speculations and rumors about it that’s why she came out with the revelation.

Clavio however remained silent about the issue and his only reaction was an Instagram post with a caption “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. JOHN 8:32 .“
