On ABS-CBN’s Facebook page, Star Creatives announced its newest series Init sa Magdamag. The political drama stars Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, and JM De Guzman, directed by Raymond Ocampo, who also worked on WildFlower.
Gerald will play the role of Tupe, a community doctor. In the video announcement, Gerald hinted about the story and noted that he feels blessed working with great people again.
“It’s a very exciting story about love, family, values. I’m very blessed to be working again with great people,” said Gerald.
Yam will portray the role of Rita Macatangal-Alvarez, an empowered congresswoman. She thanked ABS-CBN and Star Creatives for the trust and opportunity.
“Kaya nagpapasalamat din ako sa ABS-CBN tsaka sa Star Creatives sa opportunity na ‘to. Sa tiwala,” said Yam.
JM will play the role of Peterson Alvarez, an aspiring politician, and husband of Rita. JM also noted that he feels blessed being a part of this new project.
“I feel blessed, sobrang masaya dahil sa trust na nabigay sa akin ng Star Creatives,” said JM.
Director Raymond revealed that he wanted the title to be Init sa Magdamag because it was his favorite song.
“Sobrang Excited Kami upang ihandog ang isang napakaganda show. Wish ko ‘tong show na t’o kasi favorite ko yung song [Init Sa Magdamag],” said Director Raymond.
The cast and crew are currently in lock-in while filming in Tanay, Rizal following the safety guidelines. As of October 1, they are on their fourth day of filming the project.
