Following the release of her expressive alt-pop single “Causing Love”, LA based artist RAIGN is back with her new double album SIGN From Above – a 21 track project carrying an ethereal elegance that allows you to get lost in the new era of pop-romanticism she has crafted.
Featuring her signature vocals and grand orchestrals, the deluxe LP features 12 fan favourites from the original project as well as some much-anticipated new songs and a number of orchestral sessions recorded with a live ensemble. Bringing the fantastical to life, the LP is the next step in RAIGN’s artistic journey – transporting the listener into a majestic world of dynamic synths, soaring vocals and intoxicating guitar riffs. With an expansive range of sonic elements and captivating lyrics, SIGN From Above is further proof of RAIGN’s ability to expertly sculpt her sound and deliver breath-taking results.
As well as a beautiful selection of new singles, the LP features tracks “Now I Can Fly”, which landed a spot on the trailer for Tall Girl and the soundtrack for Desperadoes, as well as “Who Are You” – a glistening pop number that premiered on New Music Friday and was featured on the American drama series Legacies.
Across the 21 track LP, one song in particular that stood out for RAIGN was the power ballad “Things Can Only Get Better”. Centering on her heart-stopping vocals and soaring cinematics, “this was the song that brought me back to life and turned SIGN Deluxe into SIGN From Above”, RAIGN explains. Recorded in the middle of the pandemic, while dealing with the monotony of being stuck at home, this track was her ray of sunshine – “That’s it I thought, that’s the message the world needs to hear and I know exactly how to do it, with a quasi choir of angels. I recorded all the vocals in my bedroom, we got a few friends to do the choir vocals at home, and Robbie did his magic with the orchestra, using live strings”.
Building an enviable reputation for herself within the industry, RAIGN’s music has featured on soundtracks for The Vampire Diaries, America’s Got Talent and The 100, with her single “Knocking On Heaven’s Door” collecting an Entertainment Weekly Award for ‘Best Use Of Music In A TV Finale (The 100). RAIGN is also a multi platinum songwriter, having penned tracks for the likes of Rita Ora, Tulisa, David Guetta, Ty Dollar $ign, Swanky Tunes, Dimension and Priyanka Chopra.
With her cinematic ballads and lavish soundscapes, RAIGN transcends and inspires – establishing herself as a front-runner in the next wave of boundary-pushing pop.
SIGN From Above Double Album is set for release 23rd October.
