Zanjoe Marudo believes COVID-19 erased ‘top to bottom’ hierarchy in show business; thanks ABS-CBN for continued service to Filipino amid pandemic

One more realization that the actor has had is that the pandemic had an equalizing effect on the people who are working on and off cam

Zanjoe Marudo revealed how his newest teleserye, ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam,‘ made him see life-changing realizations.

During Walang Hanggang Paalam’s live media press conference, Zanjoe said he was grateful to ABS-CBN for still getting work at a time when big corporations are closing as a result of the pandemic.

One more realization that the actor has had is that the pandemic had an equalizing effect on the people who are working on and off cam, “At importante sa akin dahil na wala yung ano eh, dito ko naramdaman na nawala yung top to bottom or kung sino ang may mas power, sino ang mas importante.”

For Zanjoe, the hierarchy was removed during this pandemic because everyone’s health is very important.

“Diba dati before pandemic hinde natin alam parang meron tayo sa utak natin na artista ako dapat importante ako may mga ganun eh.”

Zanjoe said he also wishes that this kind of thinking and treatment will still continue even after the pandemic.

“Nung nag sho shoot kame para syang naging bayanihan parang pantay, lahat kailangan mong protektahan hindi lang sarili mo pati yung kasama mo ano man ang trabaho niya yung pinaka importante ang nangyari sa akin dahil sa show na ‘to.

“At sana kahit wala ng pandemic maging ganun parin mga ugali ng tao.”

Walang Hanggang Paalam is produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and is directed by Emmanuel Palo and Darnel Villaflor.

Aside from Zanjoe, the cast also includes Paulo Avelino, Angelica Panganiban, Arci Munoz, Jake Cuenca, JC Santos, Tonton Gutiérrez, Lotlot de Leon, Ronnie Lazaro, McCoy De Leon, Mary Joy Apostol, Sherry Lara, Victor Silayan, Javi Benitez, and Cherry Pie Picache.

The plot revolves around Celine (Angelica Panganiban) and Emman (Paulo Avelino), a former couple who will be forced to be reunited when their son is abducted. Celine and Emman’s respective new love interests are played by Zanjoe Marudo and Arci Muñoz.

Last Monday, Walang Hanggang Paalam premiered on cable and satellite TV via Kapamilya Channel, channel 22, and most members of the Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association’s cable operators.

Zanjoe Marudo is a model and a Filipino actor who won as Pinoy Big Brother’s 4th Big Placer: Celebrity Edition in 2006.
