Actor Dennis Padilla revealed that he doesn’t want to see Gerald Anderson, the rumored boyfriend of his daughter Julia Barretto.
The actor seemingly showed signs of anger towards Gerald because he said that he didn’t like how his relationship with Bea Alonzo ended.
The 58-year-old actor made the revelation during an interview with Abante News on Tuesday, December 8. When he was asked whether he already met with his daughter’s rumored boyfriend, he mentioned that he didn’t want to see Gerald on any occasion.
His response came out as what seemed like a threat which shocked the interviewers. His sudden burst of anger was unexpected that’s why the interviewers initially thought it was because Julia and Gerald had already broken up.
However, Dennis explained that the reason he didn’t want to meet Gerald is that he dislikes the way how the actor left his previous girlfriend, Bea Alonzo.
Gerald and Bea broke up around July 2019 but Bea revealed at the time that she and Gerald never had a formal breakup. She said the actor just stopped talking to her.
“Honestly, to my understanding we did not break up. He just started not talking to me,” Bea said in a chance interview with ABS-CBN.
Dennis is known to be a protective father that’s why he said that it is normal for him to prevent his daughter from getting hurt. He said that Julia is a kind daughter that’s why he didn’t want her to suffer the same fate as Bea who was “ghosted”.
He also explained that he doesn’t know the real score between Julia and Gerald.
Recently, Dennis posted a picture with Julia on his Instagram account. He said that the sudden visit of his daughter on the set of their Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 movie Pakboys: Takusa surprised him but overall made him happy.
