MANILA, DECEMBER 2020 – Filipinos are still giddy over love stories especially when they see the romantic (mis) adventures of their favorite loveteams, whether local or not. As we hit 12 days before Christmas, Taiwan offers something for Filipinos looking for the true meaning of love with Adventure of the Ring. Filipinos can relate to the different love storiesin the series, from romantic relationship and kinship, to friendship and self-love.
Premiering with two episodes this December 13 (Sunday) at 9:00pm exclusively on HBO and HBO GO,Adventure of the Ring tells the stories of different couples who come in contact with an engagement ring. The show stars Chris Wang (“Time Traveler”, “Love Family”) as Yi-Zhi, a baseball-loving actuary, and Allison Lin(HBO Asia Original “The World Between Us”, “Family Time”) as Lisa, his free-spirited flight attendant girlfriend. The story starts when Yi-Zhi, after all the meticulous planning for his marriage proposal with Lisa, misplaces the most important part of it all – the engagement ring!

Episode 1: The Missing Ring
Huang Yi-Zhi loses the engagement ring on the train on the day of his marriage proposal, threatening to disrupt all his plans.
Episode 2: The Gentle Giant with Little Voice
Zong-Fang stumbles upon the ring and lies about his financial status to win Ya-Wen’s mother’s approval, but Ya-Wen sees through his lies and is disappointed in him.
Episode 3: Aged Sorghum and Burgundy
The ring ends up in the hands of retiree Yun-Sheng who bumps into his college sweetheart, Ching-Fang. The ring gets stuck on Ching-Fang’s finger.
Episode 4: Here! Take This and Propose to My Mom!
The ring gets taken by a thug, while Yun-Sheng and Ching-Fang try to get it back.
Episode 5: My Puppy Love Goddess
Lisa moves out, Yi-Zhi gives up on himself; Zi-Long, who thought the ring belongs to Amy, tries to return the ring by stalking her.
Episode 6: My Father Is A Gangster
Yi-Zhi and Lisa are now roommates. Zi-Long suspects his father of taking the ring.
Episode 7: Perfect Couple’s Imperfect Marriage
Rossy, who has the ring, is facing the seven-year itch. Yi-Zhi still cannot give Lisa the promise she needs. The flight that Lisa is on hits serious turbulence.
Episode 8: Propose? Or Not!
Yi-Zhi finally gets the ring back, but he and Lisa are about to go abroad separately. Yi-Zhi finds the answer he’s looking for through the adventures of the ring.
