Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat director, Jules Katanyag revealed that the upcoming teleserye is the ‘perfect vehicle’ for Pauline Mendoza to take on a lead role.
In an interview with the cast of the new Kapuso teleserye, director Jules said that when the story for the teleserye came out, Pauline was ready to take on a top-billing role. However, the pandemic halted the progress of their teleserye.
“As with any soap po, nauna yung kwento, and then, hinahanapan ng kung sinong best fit dun sa kwento na yun. And then, it’s time na din naman for Pauline to take the lead role. So nagconverge lang dun, kaso sa convergence na yun, tinamaan naman ng pandemic.
“Nandito yung story. It was for GMA audience talaga yung traditional drama na to. It was a perfect vehicle for Pauline para mag-take na ng lead role.”
Pauline said that her top-billing role in the teleserye is her most significant showbiz break.
The cast also includes Liezel Lopez, Carmina Villarroel, Tanya Garcia-Lapid, Neil Ryan Sese, Kristoffer Martin, Dave Bornea, Therese Malvar, Manolo Pedrosa, Tanya Gomez, Gio Alvarez, and John Estrada.
The series airs this February 22, 2021, on GMA Afternoon Prime.
