Actor Diego Loyzaga shared what he learned on his second win in showbiz, highlighting that he learned to take things seriously.
In the virtual media conference for the mystery-love-story film, Death of a Girlfriend, Loyzaga highlights that he takes things seriously now. He added that he’s now more focused and knows what he needs to do.
“Madami, pero I can sum it up in an easier way na seryosohin ko lang talaga. Mas focused ako ngayon sa ginagawa ko. Alam ko ngayon ‘yung dapat ko gawin, at hindi hindi dapat gawin.”
He said that it would be the last time that he will need to be reintroduced as a heartthrob, noting that he understands the need for the reintroduction. He also claims this as his comeback as an actor, promising that he will keep doing things right.
“Sa tingin ko baka last time na ‘to na baka ma-introduce ako as the new heartthrob. Kasi matagal na ko dito. I understand naman kung bakit ganon ‘yung introduction sa akin kasi nga it’s a second wind, it’s a comeback. I have to make sure na I keep on doing my things right.”
Loyzaga then thanked Viva Artist Agency and God for the projects he received this 2021 amid the pandemic. He also highlights that he feels blessed with the series, the movies, and his relationship with actress Barbie Imperial.
“Since the start of 2021, dumating eh, dumating talaga lahat. Of course, I have to thank the management. I have to thank (Viva Artist Agency) for trusting me. And, thank God, of course, kasi, tuloy-tuloy yung mga blessings, may serye, may movie ito, and in love-life.”
Loyzaga noted that his hiatus from showbiz helped him realize his love for his acting career.
“You know, in the two years, almost two years, pero sa tagal kong nawala, nagkaroon talaga ako ng time na inisip ko na ano ba talagang gusto kong gawin.”
Loyzaga added that he considers his second wind as an answered prayer, highlighting wants to keep working.
“It’s literally an answered prayer. I have nothing else to do but to be grateful and to keep on working.”
He also expressed his gratitude to God, the management, and everyone who gave him a second chance.
“And keep on doing my things right and not fall off track, be grateful to my bosses, to God, and to everyone who gave me a second chance.”
Loyzaga took some time off to take care of his mental health and refocus his priorities. After his hiatus, the multi-talented actor returned to showbiz under Viva Artist Agency. He now stars in upcoming offering from Viva, Encounter, and Death of A Girlfriend.
Alongside Loyzaga is Pangarap ko Maging Pornstar actress AJ Raval. Directed by Yam Laranas, Death of a Girlfriend premieres this April 30 and will be available through KTX.PH, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV, and Vivamax.
