Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola officially announced that they are married.
The couple tied the knot in still undisclosed location and date. They just needed some time before announcing their marriage. However, there were already leaked photos that circulated online even before this revelation.
The relationship between Manzano and Mendiola is not always a bed of roses. They recently confirmed the rumors saying that they broke up way back in May last year.
“Alam nyo yung chika na naghiwalay kami, totoo yun. Hanggang ngayon, di pa rin kami magkatugma kung ano yung nangyari. Para sa akin nagbreak kami. Para sa kanya nag-cool off kami,” Jessy said.
“We took a break. We took a break. But basically may pinagdaanan kami nung summer. Were we close to ending it? We were,” Luis added.
Despite their breakup, both managed to rekindle their love for each other and finally shared their ‘unique’ engagement story on December 12 last year.
When the two broke up in May, a friend of theirs got entrusted by Luis to keep the ring. Jessy, eventually learned about Manzano’s proposal plans.
Regardless of the ring, Jessy was sure about leaving Luis, but that revelation pushed them to fix things.
Their engagement ring also became controversial after Radiant Lux Jewelry accused Manila Diamond Studio of copying their ring design for Jessy and Luis’s engagement.
Manila Diamond Studio denied the accusation. It was simply without basis, in fact, and the law.
Jessy is the brand ambassador of Manila Diamond Studio. So, the couple asked the latter to recreate their first ring to erase bad memories of their engagement.
During their engagement announcement, Luis and Jessy said that they prefer an intimate and private wedding as they want to savor the once-in-a-lifetime event as a couple.
