Some Netizens have floated the idea of Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Baretto to take the lead roles in the Philippine adaptation of award-winning BBC drama Dr. Foster.
On Tuesday, April 13, ABS-CBN announced its partnership with BBC to do the Philippine version of the award-winning British drama Dr. Foster.
ABS-CBN and the Philippines will be the 6th country to remake the psychological-thriller following France, Russia, Turkey, India, and South Korea–where it was popularly known as The World of the Married.
Meanwhile, The World of the Married‘s Tagalized version also happened to be aired over at ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel last year.
Following the announcement, some Netizens immediately floated the idea of who perfectly fits the roles.
One of the ideas floated by some netizens is for Alonzo, Anderson, and Barretto to take the lead cast.

Bea, Gerald, and Julia–got embroiled in a love triangle controversy in 2019, when Alonzo accused Anderson of ghosting him for Barretto.
Both Gerald and Julia recently admitted about their relationship after multiple denials in 2019 and last year.
Julia has also previously shared her willingness to play the role of a mistress if given a chance.
In an interview with MJ Felipe and Bianca Gonzalez in September 2020, she revealed that she’s a huge fan of the Korean version of Dr. Foster, The World of the Married–and that she would love to play the role of the mistress Da Kyung.
“I wanna do something like that… What I wanna be, Da Kyung, the young girl. If you’ve seen it, you would know. She’s the young girl there, she’s so pretty.”
Bea, on the other hand, although she already left Star Magic is still willing to do a project with ABS-CBN if there’s an offer.
Whether an offer to do the project, there is no confirmation as of yet.
For Gerald Anderson, he’ll be part of the upcoming Kapamilya political drama Init Sa Magdamag which will premier on Monday, April 19.
