The top-rating romantic-comedy series First Yaya is close to its finale. With this, the female lead star, Sanya Lopez urged viewers to appeal for an extension on May 18 via an Instagram live.
She then encouraged viewers to speak up their thoughts about the show and request an extension from GMA Network.
“Kasi nakadepende sa inyo kung itutuloy pa ba namin o hindi. So sa tingin niyo, gusto niyo pa bang ituloy namin ang First Yaya? I-tweet niyo lang, isama niyo dun sa pagtetweet niyo.”
Avid viewers of First Yaya then took to twitter their request for an extension.

First Yaya reigns supreme in free TV ratings. Since its pilot episode, the show consistently earned high ratings, proving how viewers love the storyline and tandem of Lopez and Gabby Concepcion.
Despite its high ratings and viewers’ clamor for an extension, the production team is firm with how the season has performed–and no more extension for the series.
Taping during the pandemic is challenging, and the production might struggle if they extend the series. Due to lock-in tapings, banking of scenes until the end [if possible] is a common goal.
On Monday, the cast had its finale taping day in a hotel near Manila.
