First Yaya lead stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez extended their thanks to supporters for making the series the undisputed number one weekday program in the country.
The series is consistent in its number one spot in the rating leaderboard.
Based on the latest numbers from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, First Yaya still sits on the throne as the most-watched weekday program scoring 21.0% on Thursday, April 29.
Prior to this, the series also went viral after Sanya Lopez’s sexy transformation.
The episode which featured Sanya in a two-piece earned the show’s all-time highest rating ever at 24.2%. The same episode also attracted millions of online viewers getting more than 4.1 million views on YouTube as of writing.
In a statement with GMA News’ Lhar Santiago, Sanya said she is grateful for the turnout of the episode and getting good ratings and online views. She also acknowledged that her sexy transformation [indeed] made a boost for the show since for most of the previous episodes she’s in a Yaya uniform. Her two-piece scene was a welcome surprise for their viewers.
“Yung result nitong ginawa namin sa First Yaya, talaga namang sobrang nakakatuwa kasi katulad nga po ng sabi n’yo, ngayong nag-two million views na kaagad at balita ko nag-number one trending sa YouTube. At siyempre po, maganda ‘yung ratings.
“Siguro na-miss din ng tao na magsuot ako ng ganun, ng swimwear. Kasi bilang Yaya Melody parang siyempre nasanay na sila na naka-uniform lang ako ‘pag yaya, kaya talagang ang daming nag-abang.” said Sanya.
Gabby Concepcion for his part also thanked all their supporters. He said its fascinating to know people are really hooked to the show and that it is already part of people’s conversations.
“Sobrang excited po kaming lahat. ‘Yung samahan namin parang ang tagal-tagal naming hindi nagkita, na parang kung puwede lang talaga kami magsama-sama.
“Maraming salamat sa two million viewers and hopefully counting. At napakasaya naman talaga. Kahit saan kami magpunta ay ‘yan ang naririnig namin,” said Gabby.
