ABS-CBN has a bright future prepped for the Pinoy Big Brother: Connect runner-up Andrea Abaya; as they endorsed her for doing new and fresh projects— a teleserye, a movie, and an exposure with a talent agency.
Recently, Abaya joined the Huwag Kang Mangamba, where she and Nash Aguas will play Mikay and Apollo, the new characters of the series.
“Mikay is one of the adopted kids who is treated like a baby. She has low self-esteem and she will eventually become friends with Mira,” Abaya disclosed what kind of character she will be portraying.
She will also be joined by Andrea Del Rosario, Richard Quan, Vivoree Esclito, Nash Aguas, and Ian Veneracion as the newest cast members of the ABS-CBN’s inspirational series.
Abaya will appear in her movie debut in Caught in the Act, which is set for release at this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The movie is about a group of teenagers who created an application that aims to catch criminals.
In May, Abaya along with Kobie Brown, Haira Palaguitto, and Kyron Aguilera, became members of Dreamscape Entertainment’s teen barkada The Gold Squad.
In her Pinoy Big Brother: Connect stint, she was dubbed as ‘Ang Cheerdance Sweetheart ng Parañaque.’
She secured a spot in the Big Four and ended up getting the 2nd Big Placer on the ninth season run of the reality TV show. The show lasted from the 6th of December 2020 to the 14th of March 2021.
Even if not being the Big Winner of their batch, ABS-CBN has seen a lot of potential in Abaya and they have a lot in store for her.
