Hannah Precillas shared how important it was for her when she received the title of Kapuso OST Princess.
In an interview with Precillas, she admitted feeling overwhelmed with the title but considered it as a dream come true.
“So yung first time ko magawa yun, grabe yung pagka-overwhelm ko sa nangyayari and then nadagdagan pa nung tinawag ako na OST princess, so parang dream come true po talaga para sa akin na nagsimulang mangarap lang.”
For her mini-album release, Precillas recalled her mom’s advice amid negative comments about her career.
“So masyado akong nadadala sa sinasabi ng iba na “uy bakit wala ka pang ganito?” “Uy bakit si ganito nakikita ko na, bakit ikaw wala?” So ako grabe po yung pressure sa akin, at nalungkot ako na parang, “oo nga, bakit ganon?” So masyado akong nagpadala sa sinasabi ng ibang tao.
“Nawala sa isip ko yung turo ng nanay ko na, “siguro hindi mo pa time.” Lagi pong ganon ang turo sa akin ni Mama. Kahit nung mga singing contest lang before. Pag natalo kami, okay lang kasi hindi ko pa-time.”
After that, Precillas came to a realization and changed her mindset about competing with other artists.
“Ganon na lang po ang mindset ko ngayon na ayaw ko po makipagcompete po talaga na yung pressure na, “hala si ganito, dapat ako din. Dapat makahabol ako.” Ako I believe po na may kanyang kanyang pace ang buhay ng mga tao, at iba din po yung sa akin sa ibang artist.”
For her TV appearances, Precillas said she always says yes to the projects she receives.
“Kung ano po yung naibibigay sa akin, I always say yes na lang po kasi hindi naman sa lahat ng pagkakataon is nabibigyan po ako ng chance na mainstream.”
However, she expressed her hopes of appearing on TV regularly.Â
“Sa ngayon po walang usapan pero sana, sana po talaga mangyari na kahit pandemic is regular na po talaga ako makikita ng mga tao sa TV.”Â
For her fans, she expressed her happiness and gratitude for their support.
“Syempre nakakatuwa po sa akin no na kahit papaano, hindi nila ako palagi nakikita, pero hindi nila ako nakalimutan to the point na sinasabi nila, “sana anjan si Hannah.”
Precillas started her career as the winner of Bet ng Bayan in 2014. She then received the title Kapuso OST princess after her rendition of Kanlungan for the GMA Network teleserye, Kambal, Karibal.
Precillas recently released her extended play titled Hannah Precillas Sessions under GMA Music. The EP includes her performances of the songs Munting Hiling, Hiram na Sandali, Awit Kay Inay, and Sabi Ko Na Nga Ba.
