The pilot episode of Nagbabagang Luha was able to sustain the ratings of its time slot predecessor Ang Dalawang Ikaw.
On August 2, ‘Nagbabagang Luha’ aired its pilot episode via the 2:30 pm time slot replacing ‘Ang Dalawang Ikaw’. The latter did not yet end but, it was moved to the 3:25 pm schedule.
According to the data released by AGB Nielsen, ‘Nagbabagang Luha’ earned a 6.2% rating on its first episode, just enough to cope with ‘Ang Dalawang Ikaw’s’ previous ratings.
On YouTube, ‘Nagbabagang Luha’s’ views ranged from 50k to 70k views on its first week. The show’s title also trended online during its pilot episode. The ‘#Nagbabagang Luha’ ranked as the second most-talked-about topic on Twitter at that time.
‘Nagbabagang Luha’ is starred by Glaiza De Castro, Rayver Cruz, and Claire Castro. It is the remake of the 1988 film Gabby Concepcion, Alice Dixson, and Lorna Tolentino.
In its first episode, Maita’s (Glaiza) character, as a protective and caring older sister to Cielo (Claire), was established.
The secret relationship of Maita and Alex (Rayver) gave thrills to the audience. However, they felt pity for Maita when Mrs. Montaire (Gina Alajar), Alex’s mother, introduced Judy (Myrtle Sarrosa) as the future wife of Alex.
Joining the cast of ‘Nagbabagang Luha’ are Mike Tan, Jaclyn Jose, Alan Paule, Archi Adamos, Myrtle Sarrosa, Royce Cabrera, Ralph Noriega, Karenina Haniel, and Bryan Benedict. It is directed by the seasoned actor Ricky Davao.
