Pokwang said she is grateful to Kris Aquino for helping her when she was jobless after ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
On Wednesday, August 25, the comedienne thanked Aquino via Instagram for her advance birthday gift.
Pokwang is set to celebrate her 51st birthday on Friday, August 27.
She shared photos of white and yellow roses and captioned it with, “Thank you ganda Kris Aquino sa flowers nakakamayaman hahahaha sa 27 pa birthday ko pero lagi ka naman ganyan advance magmahal.
“Salamat at aliw si tisay Malia O’ Brian sa pa ilaw, higit sa lahat bagay s’ya sa prayer room ko,” she added.
Pokwang said that she treats Aquino as family for she has seen that the Queen of All Media is a generous, helpful person.
When she lost her regular job at ABS-CBN due to its shutdown, Pokwang revealed that Aquino was one of those persons who lend her a helping hand to get through the rough patch.
“Sa panahon na nawalan ako ng work dahil pinasara ang ABS-CBN si Kris Aquino at si @jgl71 at @aptentertainment ang umalalay sa ‘kin,” the Kapuso comedienne replied to a netizen who asked why she is fond of the TV host.
Pokwang is also known for defending Aquino whenever she gets involved in controversies especially her sons, Joshua and Bimby.
Previously, Bimby was targetted by bashers who questioned his sexuality. Pokwang then hit back at trolls who claimed that Bimby is gay.
“Bastos! Mas gugustuhin ko maging bakla anak ko kesa katulad mo bastos!” Pokwang responded to a basher.
Kris replied to her, “I love you. Alam mo naman for us moms—’wag lang mga anak natin or else.”
Pokwang told Aquino, “Laban mga taong ganyan yan yung mga isinumpa sa ibaba! @krisaquino love you.”
