The fun and candid interview between Enrique Gil and Matteo Guidicelli on ‘Matteo G Primetime’ quickly became a trending topic on social media after the two stars exchanged hilarious banter on-air.
During the interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel, Matteo asked Enrique which among his films was his personal favorite.
“Syempre, dito tayo sa I Am Not a Big Bird,” Enrique replied.
Matteo then jokingly followed up with, “Big bird ka?”
“Yes, big bird ako,” Enrique answered playfully.
“Palakpakan, big bird!” Matteo quipped, prompting laughter during the segment.
The teasing continued when Matteo asked, “The question comes out from everybody, who’s big bird?”
“You, bro,” Enrique replied while pointing at Matteo.
Matteo burst into laughter as Enrique doubled down on the joke.
“It’s you, bro. Ikaw ang idol ko eh. So yeah, you’re my inspiration for this movie,” Enrique added jokingly.
Trying to dodge the playful exchange, Matteo responded, “No, no, we are quiet on the side. I’m always watching, I’m always watching,” while laughing.
The interview also marked a reunion between the two actors, who worked together in projects such as ‘Bagani’ and ‘Dolce Amore’.
Ahead of the interview’s airing, Matteo shared a video of himself dancing with Enrique on Instagram and expressed his support for the actor’s comeback.
“My brother Enrique Gil @enriquegil17 is back,” Matteo wrote.
“From Bagani to Dolce Amore, we’ve shared a lot of moments and conversations through the years. Now, he’s back, ready to show himself again and take on a new chapter with A Secret in Prague.”
“Spent time talking about life, growth, work, and everything in between. Proud of you, bro. You’ve got your own path now and you’re rocking it. Congrats, brother. Let’s do this,” he added.
