Michelle Vito, Miles Ocampo, share advocacy for voter registration in the upcoming 2022 elections

On September 28, Kapamilya artists Miles Ocampo and Michelle Vito shared details about their advocacies for voter registration in the upcoming 2022 elections.

During the media conference for Maalaala Mo Kaya October 2021 episodes, Ocampo admitted that she feels frustrated with what’s happening in the country.

However, Ocampo said she’s glad to see Gen Zs stepping up and exercising their right to vote.

“And, dati kasi parang ‘yung boto, ‘ah parang isang boto lang ‘yan.’

With that vote doon lalabas ‘yung mga frustrations natin and ‘yung mga gusto nating mga pagbabago.”

Vito then admitted that she didn’t put much thought into voting before.

“Ako po talaga to be honest, before talaga, kasi pwede naman na po akong mag-register before pero noon talaga wala lang sa akin. To be honest, wala talaga akong care na– about sa registration, ganyan. Pero sa nangyayari nga ngayon, talagang nakaka-frustrate.”

However, she realized how voting could help change the current state of the country.

“Gusto mo ng pagbabago, gusto mo ng changes. And naniniwala ako na kahit isang boto lang ‘yan, kapag pinagsama-sama mo nga ‘yan, malaking epekto ‘yan. Malaking pagbabago ‘yan.

Vito also recalled what she felt when she was waiting in line for her voter’s registration.

COMELEC recently announced that they are extending the registration for voters up from October 11 up to October 30, 2021.

Vito and Ocampo star in the MMK episode about the love story of flight attendants and YouTube content creators Tanch Lobete and Sarah Garcia. Their MMK episode airs on October 23, 2021.
