ARMSCOR Global Defense Inc., the country’s leading manufacturer of firearms, ammunition and defense products is pulling out all the stops to bring the best defense products, outdoor gear, safety gadgets, survival and safety technology, plus many more at the 26th Tactical Survival and Arms Expo/TACS Expo (Defense, Security and Survival Show for Sustainable Living) slated on June 18-21 at the SM Megatrade Hall in Mandaluyong City.
Over 50 exhibitors will be taking part in this highly anticipated event that will also feature free seminars by notable resource persons on a variety of topics that include tips on safety when traveling to unfamiliar places; dealing with simple medical emergencies; maintaining mental composure during crisis situations; understanding panic and similar behavior during emergencies; and the responsibilities of a firearm owner.
Among the speakers is Disaster Intelligence Incorporated (DII) Managing Director, Martin Aguda Jr., who will discuss “The Science of Panic: Behaviors During Emergencies.” Recognized as a safety and emergency management expert, Aguda also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Safety Organization of the Philippines Incorporated.
The event will also feature a License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) caravan in partnership with the Philippine National Police Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG) that will facilitate a neurological examination and interview, a drug test, and national police clearance (NPC), which are requirements for obtaining an LTOPF. Valid LTOPF holders will also be able to apply for Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR) during the caravan.
Expected to grace the event as guest of honor and speaker on the opening day is Atty. Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer of the National Police Commission.
The TACS Expo is a regular event mounted by ARMSCOR as part of its advocacy to spread awareness on the importance of security and safety, disaster preparedness, and responsible gun ownership.
