On August 31, actor Xian Lim shared his impression about GMA Network during the media conference for his upcoming project Love, Die, Repeat.
Lim described the Kapuso Network and its content as ‘edgy’ in terms of genre.
“I’m grateful na nabigyan po ako ng pagkakataon. And magkaiba po eh. Magkaiba po ‘yung mga genres na ginagawa, sometimes medyo edgy banda.”
He also shared his experience in receiving a call from GMA Network for the teleserye offer.
“I was just very excited and I don’t know what to say noong una kong natanggap ‘yung tawag.
“Very brief ‘yung binigay nilang kwento, but instantly I said, wala nang masyadong pag-iisip pa, sinabi ko, definitely I would love to work with you guys.”
He then admitted feeling nervous upon receiving the offer from the network, but he’s thankful for the opportunity.
“Una ko pong naramdaman is kaba. ‘Yung mga makakatrabaho ko po or makakasama is completely different sa mga usual na nakakatrabaho ko. But other than that, nagumapaw naman po ‘yung excitement for the work.”
Lim stars in the upcoming Kapuso series, Love, Die, Repeat, alongside Jennylyn Mercado via a per-project agreement with GMA Network. However, Lim expressed his interest in working with the Kapuso team on future projects.
“I’m with GMA (Network) for Love, Die, Repeat but syempre po kung gusto pa po nila akong bigyan ng proyekto, mas tataas pa po ang nga ngiti ko.”
He then shared the projects and roles he wants to explore if GMA Network gives him future projects.
“Ngayon pa lang gusto ko nang sabihin na gusto ko pong mabigyan ng opportunity to pitch stories na mga sinulat ko po. I want to have the opportunity to direct. And hopefully, be a part of the creatives and creative process ng paggawa ng isang proyekto.
“Aside from acting, being a host, sana po mabigyan din po ako ng pagkakataon na kumanta, makapagperform alongside all the great singers, na mayroon po ang mga Kapuso.”
