Singer-songwriter Juan Karlos Labajo, on Monday, November 15, explained his reason for taking a “social media detox.”
“You can’t pin it to a specific thing eh. Kasi it’s some sort of thing that accumulates throughout. That’s why I do all of this social media break things kasi that’s when I feel na pagod na ako,” he said during the media conference for Janine Berdin’s Pagod Na Ako which he arranged and produced.
The 20-year-old singer then shared the reasons why he gets “tired.”
“Pagod lang ako sa lahat, sabay-sabay lahat. You know, all of these sleepless nights, with sobrang daming schedule.”
However, he is not one who cannot appreciate all the things he has right now.
“Just because someone gets tired doesn’t mean someone does not appreciate what they had. I mean I appreciate all of the blessings that I’ve had, that I’ve been having and getting ever since, but you know, napapagod tayo.
“So it’s really just those moments na sunud-sunod lahat, patung-patong lahat, sabay-sabay lahat nang pangyayari, professional and personal life,” explained Labajo.
To invigorate himself, Labajo revealed he usually goes back to one of the reasons why he was exhausted.
Meanwhile, Labajo also admitted he was comfortable doing nothing, which he pointed was not wrong.
“I also find comfort in not doing anything. We don’t always have to be productive eh.
“Kasi people have this mindset na you have to be productive every single hour. No, we have to normalize unproductivity sometimes. Na there are days na we just don’t feel like doing anything, and that’s fine,” he explained.
If there is one thing JK is tired of, it’s getting called “handsome.”
The singer-songwriter first quit social media in 2019, and in August 2020, he took another hiatus from the internet.
