On December 21, Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN Corporation’s chief content officer and ABS-CBN University’s president, shared her impression of Daniel Padilla as a gentleman.
She proved such a trait after working with the young actor in Kun Maupay Man it Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine).
“Si Daniel very passionate about his acting. Gusto niya talaga ang ginagawa niya and ine-enjoy niya ang ginagawa niya. Matanong.
“Yung sense of curiousity na ‘yon normal sa ating lahat eh. Pero magaan katrabaho. Hindi mo iisipin na superstar siya, isa siyang malaking artista. He’s a regular guy at the set and he’s very very warm person,” she expressed during the We Rise Together talk show.
She even said she felt like Padilla’s girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo. She saw how the actor possesses a caring personality.
“He’s such a gentleman,” chuckled Ms. Charo. “In fact, feeling ko ako si Kathryn Bernardo, hahaha!”
Santos also revealed that she’s a fan of the actor and excited to work with him on a project.
“Excited na excited ako when I was told na kasama ko si Daniel kasi talagang gusto ko siyang makatrabaho.
“Alam mo naman, faney din naman ako ‘di ba? Hahaha! So may factor din na kapag nakakasama mo ang mga iniidolo mo,” she admitted.
Aside from being a gentleman, she was also impressed by how genuine Padilla is as a person, revealing that during their breaks, she and the actor would have deep conversations.
“During the shooting breaks meron din kaming mga malalalim na pag-uusap ni DJ. ‘Di ba yung nakikita mo ang pagkatao niya and shine-share niya ang kung ano talaga ang nasa kalooban niya. So nakakatuwa naman.”
Whether the Weather is Fine is directed by Carlo Francis Manatad and is included in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
It tells the story of a mother (Santos-Concio) and her son (Padilla), who were victims of the 2013 Typhoon Yolanda. Both of them try to survive and continue living in the hopes of regaining what they have lost.
The movie will premiere in cinemas nationwide, December 25.
