Direk Jorron Lee Monroy, Rhian Ramos, Kris Bernal share preparations behind their campy scenes in new Kapuso teleserye

March 1, 2022- Kapuso director Jorron Lee Monroy, and Kapuso stars Rhian Ramos and Kris Bernal shared their preprations behind their campy scenes in their new teleserye, Artikulo 247.

During the media conference for the legal drama, Monroy said they discussed the execution of the campy scenes before they taped it on set.

“The technique with campy scenes is kailangan i-discuss niyo as a group kung paano siya ia-attack sa scene. But for cinematic purposes it works. Campy scenes work.”

He noted that he enjoyed shooting the scenes with Ramos and Bernal because they made the campy scenes more true to life.

“Ako personally, na-enjoy ko siyang gawin with Kris and Rhian. Mayroon kasi silang skill, hindi ko alam kung na-explore na nila ito before, si Kris and Rhian na ‘yung pagiging campy nila, natra-translate nila na into something that could actually happen in real life.

“Campy siya, alam mong ‘yung dialogue nila is over the top, but when you watch them parang, ‘ah parang pwede naman mangyari ito sa totoong buhay. Siguro may ganitong tao.'”

Bernal stated that filming the campy scenes opened up her mind.

She then admitted that she had fun taping their campy scenes for the series.

Parang ginagampanan mo ‘yung ibang tao outside our world sa showbiz.”

On the other hand, Ramos confessed she felt afraid to tape their campy scenes.

Parang ganon.”

However, thanks to Monroy’s skillful execution of each shot, Ramos started to appreciate their campy scenes.

“And ‘yung bulk of that work went to Direk.

Bernal and Ramos star in GMA Network’s riveting legal drama, Artikulo 247, alongside other Kapuso actors Benjamin Alves, Mark Herras, Mike Tan, Victor Silayan, Carla Martinez, Denise Barbacena, Rain Matienzo, and Brent Valdez.

Directed by Jorron Lee Monroy, the griping teleserye premieres on March 7 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
