Celebrity friends Gelli de Belen and Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi shared details describing each other and their friend group, including Candy Pangilinan, during the media conference for Viva One’s Oomph Podcast Network on March 16.
De Belen described Villaroel as OA, OC, and has Katsaridaphobia (fear of roaches).
“Si Carmina, OA, OC. Tapos takot na takot siya sa ipis, as in. Naku nakakaloka ‘yung katatakot niya sa ipis.”
Villaroel-Legaspi revealed that their friend Pangilinan loved to project when retouching her hair and make-up.
“Si Candy habang naga-ano ‘yan ng hindi sinasadya, paghumaharap sa salamin ‘yan, magre-retouch lang, magli-lipstick. Laging naka-project ‘yun.”
De Belen added, “Pansinin n’yo ‘yung mga kuha niya sa IG. Tignan n’yo.”
Villaroel-Legaspi also disclosed that Pangilinan always did the ‘duckface’ before the trend became popular on social media.
“Or pag may camera lagi siyang naka-ganon. Hindi pa nauso ang duckface naka duckface na siya. Pero, ever since pa ‘yan. Tropang Trumpo pa days pa lang natin nagli-lipstick na ‘yan or di ba kapag minsan aayusin mo ‘yung buhok mo, gaganyan-ganyan ka lang, siya ‘yung naka-project na.
“‘Yung parang lagi siyang kukunan ng picture, pero hindi niya sinasadya, hindi siya ‘yung gandang-ganda sa sarili niya. Normal lang talaga na automatic gumaganon ‘yung nguso niya.”
De Belen chimed in and added that Pangilinan is too busy and an overachiever.
“Si Candy, masyado siyang busy sa buhay. She’s an overachiever. She really want to do a lot, accomplish a lot. Talagang anything is possible. Kahit gaano pa ‘yan kahirap, ‘Hindi, pwede ‘yan! Gagawan natin ng paraan ‘yan.’ ‘Yan si Candy, ‘Oo lahat, uubra ‘yan. Isipin lang natin, paplanuhin lang natin.’ Kahit na impossible gusto niya possible pa rin.”
The three celebrities including Janice de Belen are friends since the ’90s Defunct Comedy Gag Show, Tropang Trumpo.
Now Carmina, Candy, Gelli, and Janice host the Wala Pa Kaming Title podcast, wherein they provide their spontaneous “chikahan” for their audience.
