On March 8, actress Dimples Romana revealed she’s pursuing Marketing classes at New York University (NYU) in the U.S.
During the media conference for Santé Barley Max’s launch, Romana said she is enrolled in online Marketing classes at NYU because she wanted to be more equipped when talking about her brands as an endorser.
“Ako, I think, more importantly, the reason why I’m taking this NYU class, New York University classes, online actually I wanted to go sana face to face kaso they reverted to online again. And then I have a new project that I’ll be working on as soon as I come back.
“I’m taking up Marketing classes because [I feel like] I want to be more equipped when it comes to talking about my brands.”
She then noted the importance of having an education as a brand ambassador.
“Kasi pag endorser ka, you think you’re just the face of the company. I think there’s more to that than just that. I want to be able to offer something that is more tangible. Something na natutunan sa pag-aaral lang.
“Kasi mahirap pag binasa ko lang tapos bukas makakalimutan ko na. When you go to school for a particular thing, it retains in your brain. It’s there the whole time. And I just want na sabayan ko sana, ‘yung pag-aaral ng mga anak ko.”
She also attributed her in-depth understanding of her newest endorsement, Santé Barley Max, to the lesson she’s learning at NYU.
“The reason why I’m able to talk about my brands in-depth like this is because inaaral ko din on how they look at these products. Because pandemya ngayon, we have to help one another. One of the best ways I [feel] I can help my brands and those brands, institutions, and services that me and my family trust when it comes to these endorsements is ‘yung pag-aaral kung paano nga ba.”
She also noted that she wants to represent her endorsements backed up with science and studies.
“Gusto ko lang na kahit papaano, masasabi natin na we represent our brands well, and when we say well, it’s really backed up with not only a pretty face, or the best way of talking about the brand but I also want that it is /backed up by science and with studying because education talaga is something I value.”
Romana starred in Kapamilya projects such as Kadenang Ginto, Bagani, and Viral: Scandal.
