Xian Lim recalled his experience directing a production at the media conference for False Positive on April 19, 2022.
Lim described directing a production as a surreal experience.
“Being a director is a different– is a surreal experience. Kaya nga ina-idolize ko sila Direk Irene. When I was starting out, pinakauna kong pelikula sila Direk Irene ang nagsulat.”
He admitted feeling fascinated by the process of directors and creatives.
“I’ve always been fascinated kumbaga sa requirements, sa talino na mayroon sila, so ‘yung fulfillment, to be able to frame– to direct a scene, to frame a shot, to write a story, nothing can beat feeling. So parang out of this world experience.”
He then expressed his hopes of working on directorial and writing projects while he was in GMA Network.
“I hope they can give me an opportunity, ‘yun nga po more projects, and na makapag-direct at makapag-sulat po sa kanila.”
He said that having a directorial project with the Kapuso Network would be a dream come true for him.
“Definitely, definitely, of course, that is something na ini–kumbaga pinaplano ko siya, paano kaya ako kung idi-direct ko ang sarili ko. How is that going to be. That is going to be a challenge but definitely that would be a dream come true para sa akin.”
Lim recently directed the WeTV digital series Pasabuy in 2021.
As for his Kapuso series, False Positive stars Glaiza de Castro and Xian Lim and premieres on May 2, 2022, on GMA Network’s Telebabad.
