Despite not mentioning the name of the candidate he is supporting for the upcoming national elections, DJ Durano has hinted that he is a Bongbong Marcos supporter.
On April 9, a TikTok video showed Durano as a host for a beauty pageant titled Binibining Mateo in San Mateo, Isabela.
Durano noticed that one candidate was wearing a red gown during the Q&A portion of the pageant.
“Ano ang favorite color mo?” Durano interrogated.
“As a woman who was born in the month of February, my favorite color is red definitely,” the candidate answered.
“Ako rin, red. Ayoko ng pink… Ayoko ng lugaw. Hindi ako kumakain ng lugaw,” Durano said.
Durano made a peace sign—a hand gesture widely associated with Marcos, apologizing to Lenlen.
“Sorry, Lenlen,” he stated.
On April 27, Pokwang called out Durano after the latter said the former feels like she is Ai-Ai delas Alas.
“At ikaw DJ Durano! Woohoo Dios mio! Feeling sikat ako? Nagfi-feeling Ai Ai ako? Hahahaha. Unang una, oo, sikat ako kumpara sayo. Plastik ka! Ikaw laging sabit lang sa movie ng namayapa kong mahal na direktor kasi nga nagagalit ka kapag hindi ka kasama sa mga proyekto niya! Kapal ng mukha mo!” Pokwang said.
“Nothing. Elections is temporary. Keep your friends. It’s just a misunderstanding. Wala yun, maliit lang ang industry. Hahaha. Ganoon talaga ang heated emotions dahil sa politics. At least, nag-usap na kami after she posted it.”
Durano confirmed that he and Pokwang had already had a conversation after their heated exchange of words online.
