It seemed Pinoy televiewers prefer a good laugh during weekends as Kapuso comedy shows dominated the weekend rating board.
Based on the latest ratings data from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, Filipino TV consumers are hooked on comedy shows on Saturdays and Sundays.
In the 11 June 2022 AGB Nielsen ratings report, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera’s family sitcom Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa placed second overall with a rating of 12.4%.
Longest-running Kapuso reali-sitcom Pepito Manaloto also ranked high at number 3 with 10.6%.
The Vic Sotto-Maine Mendoza tandem sitcom Daddy’s Gurl also made a good ranking at number 6 with 6.8%.
Kapuso drama anthology Magpakailanman, meanwhile topped the overall Saturday rating board with 12.6%.
GMA News’ 24 Oras Weekend and Imbestigador completes the top 5 with 8.4% and 7.7% ratings respectively.
On Sunday, June 12, John Lloyd Cruz’s first Kapuso sitcom Happy ToGetHer also registered well on the rating board placing second to Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho with 13.4% rating. KJMS scored a rating of 16.0%.
The Boobay and Tekla Show also did well as it ranked 6th overall earning a rating of 4.6%.
24 Oras Weekend meanwhile placed 3rd with 11.9% followed by Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko with 11.5% and Amazing Earth at number 5 with 6.3%.
