An excited Vice Ganda commented on Paolo Ballesteros’s Instagram post on Tuesday, July 12, following the latter’s revelation that he will be hosting the Philippine version of the Drag Race.
Known for his ability to impersonate any celebrity, Discovery+ Philippines announced on their Twitter account that “Charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent sashay their way to discovery+ with the multi-talented artist Paolo Ballesteros as fab host. We’re screaming, sists!”

Ballesteros will join RuPaul’s Drag Race season 4 and All-Stars 6 contender Jiggly Caliente, along with other judges. Meanwhile, the remaining panel is yet to be announced by Discovery+ Philippines.

RuPaul‘s Drag Race is a reality drag competition created by RuPaul and World of Wonder in 2009. The series also has its versions from Holland, Spain, Thailand, and the UK.
In August 2021, Drag Race Philippines opened its audition doors to aspiring contestants. An Untucked Series will also be included in the local franchise that will show behind-the-scenes footage and drama of the drag competitors.
The show is set to premiere on August 17 and is the second franchise, with Drag Race Thailand being the first.
