Madam Kilay, known as Jinky Cubillan-Anderson in real life, responded to director Darryl Yap’s invitation to cast her in the upcoming Viva film Maid In Malacañang.
Madam Kilay is a YouTube celebrity sensation who briefly became a part of GMA’s Eat Bulaga.
In his Facebook post on July 4, Darryl Yap reached out to Madam Kilay and asked if she wanted to portray former President Cory Aquino.
“Madam Kilay pwede ka ba mag Cory sa MAID in MALACAÑANG?” the director asked.
In the comment section, Madam Kilay simply left a smiley face that already had more than four thousand reactions.
Madam Kilay then gave Yap a private message.
It is still unknown whether the social media influencer did accept Yap’s invitation or not.
The upcoming film Maid In Malacañang is about the last 72 hours or the final three days of the Marcos family in the Malacañang Palace back in 1986.
Diego Loyzaga would play as President Bongbong Marcos, Cristine Reyes as Senator Imee Marcos, and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos. Robin Padilla, Karla Estrada, Elizabeth Oropesa, and Beverly Salviejo are also a part of the film.
Accordingly, the film is controversial as it tries to rewrite the history under the direction of Darryl Yap.
