On July 22, Kapuso star Sanya Lopez revealed her plans to go to the GMA Thanksgiving Gala solo.
At the media conference for her single Hot Maria Clara, Lopez jested that she would be looking for a date at the Kapuso event while crediting the designer who made her dress for the gala.
“:Pupunta po ako ng solo, Tito Rommel. So ayun, okay naman. Doon na lang ako mag-hanap ng ka-date.
“Si Michael Leyva po, Michael Leyva po.”
She then talked about her team’s intense preparations for the event.
“Sa Gala po, yes po pupunta po ako diyan, July 30. Magkita-kita po tayo diyan. ‘Yung preparation ko po diyan, busy ang lahat ng team ko ngayon na nag-uusap-usap sila. Actually, kanina lang nagme-meeting sila, non-stop ‘yung pagme-meeting nila about sa damit ko na isusuot.”
She then disclosed that she plans on wearing a dress designed by Michael Leyva, style from Eldzs Mejia, and make-up from Jerry Penaso.
“Ito po ay dinesign ni Michael Leyva, styled by Eldzs Mejia. Nandiyan din ang aking make-up artist na si Jerry Penaso, sa hair ko ay sila rin po. Until now inaasikaso pa rin po nila. ‘Yung damit ko inaayos pa rin po sa ngayon, kasi biglaan ‘to.”
She also noted that her theme for her look would revolve around a simple yet elegant style.
“So noong nalaman na kailangan pagdating namin doon–tinanong kasi ako kung ano gusto ko, sabi ko simple pero elegant. So ‘yun po.”
Lopez starred in various Kapuso projects such as Encantadia, First Yaya, and First Lady.
As for her first song under GMA Music, Sanya’s Hot Maria Clara started streaming on GMA Music Youtube Channel on July 15, 2022.
