Kapuso flagship gag show, Bubble Gang is still the dominant force in Philippine comedy programs as it delivered strong TV ratings in September 2022.
Based on the rating report from Nielsen NUTAM People’s ratings, Bubble Gang scored 5.9% ratings on its September 30 episode dominating its timeslot. Aside from its month-end rating win, the Kapuso gag show also scored huge wins in the previous weeks of September.
On September 2, Bubble Gang registered a rating of 5.9% beating rival programs A Family Affair, which scored 3.4%, and Love in 40 Days with 2.2%.
For its September 16 episode, Bubble Gang scored 5.4% again comfortably beating A Family Affair with 2.9% and Love in 40 Days with 1.5%.
In the following week, September 23, Bubble Gang again posted a comfortable lead against rivals; 5.2% vs A Family Affair‘s 2.6% and Love in 40 Days‘ 1.2%.
Bubble Gang has been GMA Network’s top rating Friday program since its inception in 1995.
The gag show spans almost three decades in Philippine television has consistently topped the rating chart because of its quality laughs and entertainment.
Pioneered by Michael V and Ogie Alcasid, the show has made famous characters and segments through the years as Yaya and Angelina played by Bitoy and Ogie themselves.
Its segment Ang Dating Doon (a parody of the religious program Ang Dating Daan) was also phenomenal which made Brod Pete and Brod Josel household names.
The show also gave rise to the popularity of the comic duo Moymoy Palaboy.
Its segment Balitang Ina also made the buzz on social media making Valeen Montenegro a social media star.
Recently, the show relaunched faces and introduced the newest members of the Bubble Barkada.
Joining the official cast during its relaunch were Tuesday Vargas, Faith da Silva, Dasuri Choi, and Kim de Leon.
Bubble Gang still airs every Friday at 9 PM.
