GMA Network, through its regional arm GMA Regional TV (RTV), joins forces with the Municipality of Kalibo in celebration of the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival 2023.
GMA RTV is set to bring Kapuso artists to grace the Mother of all Philippine Festivals in January 2023 where the Bb. Kalibo Ati-atihan Pageant Night and the Kapuso Fiesta will be held on January 10 and January 12, respectively.
“GMA Network has been at the forefront of promoting the best of the Philippines and of the Filipinos. Through the various initiatives of GMA Regional TV, we continue to celebrate the country’s regional festivals. And as we slowly go back to producing in-person events in the regions, we are more than thrilled to partner once again with the Municipality of Kalibo and the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival 2023. Expect a series of colorful and star-studded events as we are now gearing up for an exciting Ati-Atihan celebration this 2023,” said GMA Regional TV and Synergy First Vice President and Head Oliver Victor Amoroso.
Present during the Memorandum of Agreement signing last October 8 were GMA Regional TV Station Manager Jonathan V. Cabillon and Municipality of Kalibo Mayor Juris B. Sucro.
“GMA Regional TV is very happy to partner with Kalibo LGU and balik saya na naman tayo sa Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival 2023 after two years of hiatus. And next year, GMA will be bringing the best Kapuso stars to grace the highlights of the Ati-atihan Festival 2023,” shared Cabillon.
Mayor Sucro equally expressed his delight in partnering with GMA to further boost the festival’s promotion. “I’m very happy because one of the biggest networks in the Philippines partnered with us and GMA is doing everything when it comes to promotion and marketing.”
After the signing ceremonies, Bianca Umali delighted the Kalibonhon with her live performance during the “Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival 2023 Opening Salvo.” The Pastrana Park in Kalibo was jam-packed with fans who were all excited to watch her on stage.
Bianca expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of the Kapusong Kalibonhon. “Nakakatuwa kasi ngayon lang ulit ako makaka-experience ng isang festival and what more that it is the opening salvo of the Mother of all Philippine Festivals. I am honored to be part of it,” she said.
