In an exclusive RAWR Nation interview on November 11, Kapuso artist Kirsten Gonzales discussed her upcoming acting ventures through Kapuso projects such as Wish Ko Lang, Imbestigador, and LUV IS: Caught in his Arms.
“Mayroon akong– abangan ninyo po ako sa Wish Ko Lang with Xavier Ramos, sa Imbestigador, and siyempre every Sunday, nandoon kami ng Sparkada ko sa All-Out Sunday and most especially ang LUV IS soon on GMA [Network].”
She then recounted how surprised she felt after landing her role in LUV IS: Caught in his Arms.
“First of all, nagulat talaga ako kasi biglaan lang ako pinasok, like buo na ‘yung cast, nandoon na sila, like si Sofia Pablo, as in buo na. And I auditioned for that role, pero different role, ibang role siya. Ang pinag-auditionan ko is ‘yung role ni Caitlyn, si Antonia. Tapos nagulat na lang ako na parang quiet lang ang lahat, parang sabi ko, ‘Ay, hindi na ako nakuha.’ Ganyan-ganyan.
“And then like one week before magte-taping na, tsaka ako sinabihan na, ‘Ah ikaw sila Lina.’ So nagulat talaga ako, as in biglang pasok na ganon. And noong malaman ko na kasama sila Caitlyn, ganyan, na-excite talaga ako kasi lahat kami bago and ‘yung iba sa mga kasama ko sa cast, sa Sparkada, first ever teleserye nila ‘yun.
“As in first time nilang mag-aacting for the camera. And parang nandoon ‘yung relief na lahat kami new to this and parang we’re going to support each other since Sparkada ‘yun.”
Gonzales began her career through her social media posts on Instagram. GMA Network’s talent management arm, Sparkle GMA Artist Management, signed her in 2021 as one of their newest talents. Later on, she joined the teen group Sparkada.
Her projects under the Kapuso Network include Regal Studio Presents: Your House, My Home (2021), and All-Out Sundays.
