During an interview on April 30, Sunshine Cruz chose to remain discreet about the state of her heart, politely requesting privacy from the press.
As the newest brand ambassador of Thiocell, Cruz has been fielding questions about her love life from the media. However, she gracefully declined to discuss the matter.
“After the very public relationship I had with my ex, I would rather keep quiet na lang,” she stated. “No. Parang I don’t really want to talk about it. So ibalato niyo na lang sa akin.”
Cruz parted ways with Macky Mathay in 2023, feeling that their relationship was stagnating. Their breakup, being public knowledge, has understandably made her more guarded about discussing personal matters.
Approaching her 47th birthday, Cruz emphasized that her personal life should not be the main focus of public attention. Instead, she prefers to discuss her family and daughters.
“Para lang sa akin, hindi naman na ako teenager para pag-usapan. Kasi magulong lang eh, magulo,” she explained. “So, whatever I have or what I don’t have, I’d like to keep it private na lang pagdating sa puso or personal life ko.”
“Para sa akin, trabaho, pag-usapan natin, mga anak ko, pag-usapan natin, even travel ng mga anak ko kasama si Cesar recently. They went to the U.S. for the first time noong naghiwalay kami. Kasama nila ang kanilang Tita Kath at si Cesar; they had a wonderful time. ‘Yung ganoon na lang.”
Cruz concluded by saying, “Pero ‘yung pagdating sa puso or personal life ko, ‘wag na lang.”
Cruz attended the Thiocell event as its newest brand ambassador, promoting their products like the Thiocelle Glutathione Lozenges, known for their skin-whitening and melanin-reducing properties.
