Rica Peralejo spoke about why she and some celebrities are not into taking photos with their fans in public.
The former actress talked about her attitude with her fans after some professional volleyball players trended online for not greeting their fans.
In her TikTok post on December 5, Peralejo shared that she is an introvert which explains her not being fond of taking pictures with her fans.
“Honestly, this is something I’ve been wanting to talk about as [an] artista kasi alam nyo nag simula talaga ako mag artista 12 palang ako and I’ve always suffered from the ‘you need to be nice and kind and accommodate everyone when you’re going out’ I think on so many levels, nahihirapan ako kasi first introvert ako.
“When we’re out it’s not as if we’re out because we’re going to engage people, it’s really more of like running errands or being with ourselves. So it’s like catching the celebrity in a very ordinary kind of day mood like seriously, sino ba yung tao na gustong mag papicture 24/7 ng buhay niya,” she shared.
Peralejo wanted her fans to have a different perspective on why she’s not into taking pictures.
“Binigyan ko lang kayo ng perspective kasi siyempre minsan we also feel bad when we can’t accommodate everybody, kasi tama [kayo], when we’re out were actually doing normal people things. But iniintidi nalang namin na siyempre ganun [talaga] kapag public figure ka,” she said.

When one netizen asked how the actress manages to be an introvert during her tapings, she explained that it was a matter of having the right mindset.
“I’m not really inclined to share myself with others the way like extroverts do.
“Nahirapan ako pero kapag na re-reason mo sa sarili na trabaho lang naman ‘to, naiisip mo na kailangan mong kayanin ‘to,” she said.
