Coco Martin talks about ‘Batang Quiapo’; possibly a long run like FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’

On January 23, Kapamilya actor-director Coco Martin talked about whether ‘Batang Quiapo’ would have a long run similar to FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’.

At the media conference for his Ritemed endorsement, which LionhearTV covered, Martin highlighted that the audience would decide whether their upcoming Kapamilya series would get a long run.

He then highlighted how FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’ got extended multiple times during its almost seven-year run. The actor-director declared that it got extended for a long run not only because of the high ratings it received from viewers but because it gave so much inspiration to people.

He then emphasized how the cast got to flesh out more storylines with the Kapamilya action series.

He furthered, “Sabi namin more than doon sa kinikita, mayroon ka pa bang ibang naiihain sa mga manonood, which is kung ito rin po ang aabutin ko, ito rin ang pagdadaanan ng Batang Quiapo, siyempre po, ako po dumating talaga ako doon sa sobrang pagod na pagod na, Kasi umabot po kami sa taping lalo na kapag soap opera po, ‘yung sinasabi nating for airing, isho-shoot namin ngayong umaga, ipapalabas namin mamayang gabi.”

Martin then expressed the hope that the Kapamilya audience would support ‘Batang Quiapo’.

As for ‘Batang Quiapo’,  Coco Martin stars with Lovi Poe in the upcoming Kapamilya action series.

Meanwhile, Martin continues Susan Roces’ legacy as the newest endorser of the pharmacy company Ritemed with the launch of his TV commercial.
