Sarah Geronimo sheds light on her showbiz break after marrying Matteo Guidicelli.
On January 1, Geronimo revealed the real reason she took a break from showbiz.
The singer-actress expressed, “The reason bakit po ako nagpahinga ng konti, I really want to offer [sa] ang ating pong listeners [‘yung mga] original songs. Iba kasi talaga when you sing your own song, ‘yung OPM talaga, iba sa pakiramdam.”
She gratefully remarked, “Grabe ang aking pasasalamat sa inyo. ‘Yung walang sawang naghintay at sumuporta, even ‘yung mga tao na talagang positive pa rin ang pagtanggap sa akin kahit na meron akong iba-ibang choices sa buhay ko personally, nandiyan pa rin sila. You know who you are, maraming salamat po.”
Geronimo revealed she is looking forward to celebrating her 20th anniversary in the entertainment industry in 2023, hoping to launch a new album.
“[Hopefully] makanta ko na yung bagong songs. I will be celebrating my 20th anniversary in the business. Hopefully matuloy na rin ‘yun,” she said.
In 2020, Geronimo tied the knot with Guidicelli. It was supposed to be a solemn and intimate ceremony. However, it turned dramatic when Geronimo’s mother who didn’t seem to know about the wedding, unexpectedly turned up and made a commotion.
