Kapuso stars Martin Del Rosario and Liezel Lopez are heating up screens with their on-screen romance in Voltes V: Legacy! Fans are going wild as Prince Zardoz and Zandra tease a sizzling connection on set, especially with the kissing scene witnessed in the mega trailer of the upcoming film and TV series.
Are sparks flying off-camera too?
“Sa anime noon, sa ending nalang malalaman na mahal pala nila yung isa’t-isa, pero dito, mas ma-eexplore din yung love story nina Zardoz at Zandra,” shared Del Rosario.
When asked about what to look out for in the upcoming Voltes V: Legacy, Liezel shared, “Kung makikita niyo sa mega trailer namin, mas nilalim-an yung romance part nina Zandra at Zardoz dito. Dinagdagan din namin ng konting spice ang mga dynamics ng mga villains dito.”
During the April 12 press conference, both admitted that they are each other’s favorite co-actor when shooting a scene due to the bond they have formed outside of the set.
“Si Martin syempre. Gustong-gusto ko ka-eksena si Martin dahil napag-uusapan namin yung mga pwede naming gawin sa eksena,” said Liezel Lopez.
While according to Martin, “Pinag-uusapan namin yung character namin during break. — Si Liezel, gusto ko siyang ka-eksena dahil yung inaaral namin outside the set na-apply namin sa eksena.”
Liezel observed that the love between Zandra and Zardoz is forbidden and different from typical romances because it is difficult to discern their intentions.
“Hindi siya sobrang obvious like sa mga typical na series na parang, ‘oh, they love each other,’ parang nagho-holding hands and stuff,” she said. “Dito, ma-feel mo lang yung parang tension sa amin sa mga first scenes.”
In contrast to their portrayals in ‘Voltes V: Legacy’, the co-stars are not attempting to conceal their close relationship. They have disclosed that they bond prior to shooting and use their lunch breaks and free time during their lock-in tapings to help each other in analyzing their characters for better portrayal.
Martin Del Rosario in the upcoming ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ is Prince Zardoz, the leader of the Boazanian attack force on Earth and the central antagonist. Moreover, Liezel Lopez is Zandra, the personal adviser of Prince Zardoz, whom she falls in love with. ‘Voltes V: Legacy The Cinematic Experience’ is showing on all SM cinemas starting April 19.
