On May 21, Kapamilya star Elisse Joson confirmed she’s more open to doing out-of-the-box roles after becoming a mom.
At the media conference for Miutiso, which LionhearTV covered, Joson noted that she became braver and more confident after becoming a mother.
“When it comes to projects now, I’m more open to doing something different, something out of the box, something I’ve never done before.
“Because I feel like mas confident ako na, na kaya kong gawin. Parang ‘yun ‘yung nararamdaman ko. Mas may tapang.”
She then explained that she wanted to ‘strike while the iron is hot’ in grabbing opportunities in her career as an artist.
“Una po kasi, hindi na po ako bumabata pa. Parang hindi natin alam kung gaano ang itatagal ko sa industry na ‘to. So might as well, do it now. Strike while the iron is hot. And, you’ll never know, it might lead me to better opportunities, for me and for my family. So parang mas game ako talaga ngayon na to accept projects na out-of-the-box.”
Joson began her career in 2012, appearing as Jovit Baldivino’s leading lady in his song, Tell Me.
She then worked on various Kapamilya productions, such as Be Careful With My Heart, Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, and She’s Dating The Gangster.
Then in 2016, she became part of Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. From then on, she had a steady career under the Kapamilya network. Then in 2021, Joson and her partner McCoy De Leon revealed their first-born daughter Felize.
She recently became a part of the hit Kapamilya Primetime drama series Dirty Linen, wherein she portrays Sophie Madrigales, the out-for-revenge ex-girlfriend of Aidan (Zanjoe Marudo).
