Josh Liñan, a growing TikTok personality with over 450k followers, posted a controversial TikTok video on March 31.
He preached that women should listen to their boyfriends when asked to reconsider their outdoor clothing as it invites the attention of perverted men.
Liñan believes that while women are “targeted” despite whatever they wear, it is still more controllable than changing a stranger’s behavior toward a woman.
“Hindi naman namin gustong kontrolin pero dahil bilang lalaki, naiintindihan lang namin na maraming iba’t ibang klase ng demonyo sa labas at naglalakad-lakad sa kung hindi mo alam na kung saang lugar. Ngayon ‘pag nanamit tayo ng medyo mas revealing, yung medyo luwa yung mga bagay bagay at nakikita ang medyo maraming parte ng katawan mo, mas mataas yung chances na maging target kayo nitong mga lalaking demonyo na’to”, he remarked.
Liñan’s statements gained the attention of many people online and resulted to a number of netizens flocking to his comments section to express their disagreement to the TikTok user’s video.
One of the people who responded to the TikTok video was K Brosas, a long-time comedian. Brosas posted a stitch response to TikTok on May 24.
She pointed out in her usual comedic nature that Liñan had a wrong way of putting his opinion despite having the right intentions. She argues that no matter what a woman is wearing, they will always be a victim of perverted men simply because of these men’s dirty behavior.

She added the boyfriend has the responsibility to protect his girlfriend from such men.

The said mindset should be perpetuated no more, Broosas commented as the world is in a “progressive age” such as 2023. To the women who choose to wear revealing clothes. she concluded her Tiktok video by saying: “You do you”
Brosas recently posted a vlog of her solo vacation in Thailand on her Youtube channel on May 20 featuring Krabi Town. She also shared a photo on May 25 of her and her friends eating, on her social media accounts.
