The scene shows Prince Zardos (Del Rosario) and Zandra (Lopez) in bed together after an intimate moment and discussing the Boazanian Empire.
The said sequence prompted netizens to voice their concern about the scene. Some called out the addition of an intimate moment for Prince Zardos’ character.

One netizen defended the scene, calling out the seemingly conservative netizens as “hypocrites”.

Earlier, GMA Network head writer Suzette Doctolero confirmed that they would add scenes in the Pinoy Live TV adaptation of the series. She cited how it would highlight the storyline of ‘Voltes V: Legacy.’
The head writer said, “Marami tayong dinagdag, ‘yung katatapos lang na Maria Clara at Ibarra, marami tayong dinagdag. Dito rin, pero ‘yung dinagdag natin, para lalong ma-highlight ‘yung maganda na na mayroon sa Voltes V.
Doctolero added, “Ano mang dinagdag namin at hinighlight namin dito sa show ay para lalong magbigay, well I hope ng kinang doon sa show. Para lalong maging maganda ‘yung experience.”
Matt Lozano, who plays Big Bert, attested to how the live TV adaptation of the anime would show a more “humanized” version of each character.
As for the series, Voltes V Legacy stars Miguel Tanfelix, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, Radson Flores, and Ysabel Ortega.
