On May 31, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, commonly known as TVJ officially resigned from TAPE Inc., a partner of GMA Network. This is after the May 31 broadcasted episode of the noontime show Eat Bulaga! took social media by storm after netizens noticed that the episode was a replay.
TVJ announced in a video that Eat Bulaga!‘s May 30 episode marks the end of 43 years of live runtime for the show.
After hearing the sudden news, many celebrities took to social media to express their remorse and pay respects to the noontime show. Among these celebrities were Dabarkads Maine Mendoza Ruru Madrid, and host Maja Salvador.
Mendoza, one of the leading celebrities in the noontime show, tweeted pictures of the Eat Bulaga studio with the caption, “Hanggang sa muli, dabarkads. Maraming salamat, @EatBulaga”

Maja Salvador, a former Dabarkads also sympathized with the show in her reply to Mendoza’s Instagram post.
Mendoza was known for her role as Yaya Dub in Eat Bulaga‘s Kalyeserye segment. She was also known for her AlDub love team in the noontime show. This jumpstarted Mendoza’s career in show business and landed her major acting roles later on.
One of the promising young actors of GMA Network, Ruru Madrid also tweeted his bitter feelings in the departure of the noontime show. He wrote: “Eat Bulaga …. walang hanggang pasasalamat sa inyo… mahal ko kayo Dabarkads!”

Madrid is known for his roles in Encantadia and Lolong. He became a guest co-host in Eat Bulaga!’s Sayaw Barangay 2022 and continued appearing on the noontime show after.
Meanwhile, Ice Seguerra also posted an Instagram post shortly after expressing the mixed feelings that this issue has brought. The post featured a picture of Seguerra with TVJ with a caption,
“Hindi ko naiintindihan ang nararamdaman ko. Lungkot ba o saya?”

Seguerra started her career in show business through Eat Bulaga‘s Little Miss Philippines when the artist was still three years old. She soon joined the noontime show for quite some time.
